NANCY ELLEN SMITH RN (Gallup) Rochester, NY: Passed away peacefully on Monday March 27th at the age of 87 surrounded by her daughters. Predeceased by her loving husband Harold Edward Smith, her parents, 3 brothers and a sonin-law. Survived by daughters, Karen LoMoglio Brandon FL, Kim Siekierski Rochester, NY and Kelly Smith (Scott Mullens) Rochester, NY; grandchildren, Melissa (Arron) Myers, Mark LoMoglio, Joshua Glynn, and Liam Mullens; great-grandchildren, Arianna LoMoglio and Michael Myers; brother, Eugene Gallup; sisters-in- law, Emma Smith, Carol Jeske; brother-in law, Clair (Frances) Smith; cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Nancy was born in Dubois Pa on 12/22/1935 to Michael & Eileen Gallup. She attended St Catherine’s High School and graduated in 1953, from there Nancy went on to receive a degree in nursing from St Vincent’s in Erie PA graduating in 1956. She married Harold in 1957. Nancy began her nursing career at Dubois hospital until 1961when they moved to Rochester, NY. Nancy started working at St Mary’s Hospital and remained there until 1998 when she retired after 37 years of service. Nancy’s visitation will be held Monday, April 3rd 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 4th 9:30 AM at St. Lawrence Church 1000 N. Greece Rd. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Open Door Mission or Society of St. Vincent DePaul in her memory. My deepest condolences to the family. Nancy was loving, hospitable, and an amazing woman. I am so blessed to have known her. There was not a time I was in her company that she did not make me feel special and cared for. Thank you Nancy. RIP with our Lord and Savior. No more pain, sorrow or sadness. Only pure joy!!
