Carlos, Gabby, and Marisa, Although we have known Monica since early AC days, my deepest gratitude to Monica was when she cared for my mother, who was one of her hospital patients. We experienced Monica’s upbeat, confident, and competent kindnesses so many times during that difficult time. I know you were proud of her as she was of you. Gratefully, Margaret

I remember Monica years ago when the girls were at Park Ridge Child Care Center. I was in the Kindergarten room with Gabby and when Monica came to pick up Gabby and Marisa she always had a warm and beautiful smile. A loving, caring Mom, wife and a friend will be sadly missed. My sincere sympathy Dr. Palacio to you, your daughters and family. Sue Lortz

I was but a 4 year old child when I first can remember meeting Moni at her sister Ellen’s wedding to my brother Jim. I consider myself fortunate to get to know her better during my undergraduate years at St. John Fisher College. She was a connection to my family while I was experiencing life away from them for the first time. It wasn’t uncommon for Moni to pick me up at a moment’s notice and treat me to lunch or an afternoon of shopping. She’d bring Marissa and Gabby to the campus library to serve as ever loyal and patient guinea pigs for my college teaching assignments. Moni was always a patient, kind and incredibly positive person. My heart goes out to her family. We are thinking of you. Jen, Chuck, Catherine & Max Henry

I was fortunate to spend a summer working with Monica a couple of years ago. She always brought sunshine into a room, especially when talking about her girls – trips to see colleges and soccer…She was such a wonderful person and she will be greatly missed by myself and everyone who knew her.

Our hearts go out to the Palacio and Kalilec Families. We were lucky to be neighbors of the Kalilecs for many years. We spent many holidays together and often went boating on Skaneateles Lake. Moni was a mother’s dream, her mother Lisa was blessed. Moni was beautiful, very smart ,kind and just wonderful to everyone. We are very sad that she had to leave us so young. Our prayers are with you all. The Muellers
