Mildred K. Haley

Greece: Thursday, January 21, 2016 at age 94. Predeceased by her husband, Daniel W. Haley; sister, Lois K. Holroyd; brother-in-law, Robert F. Holroyd. Survived by her son, James H. Haley; nephew, Bruce (Kathleen) Holroyd of Greece; niece, Kimberly (Thomas) Maier of Danbury CT; cousins, Ruth Gaffield of Zephyrhills Fl, Warner (Marie) Scheik of Port Charlotte, Fl; loving relatives and friends. Mildred attended Benjamin Franklin High School, class of 1939 and Rochester Business Institute. She worked as the Executive Secretary for the President of Rochester Telephone. She was Past Chairperson of National Secretaries Week and past member of National Secretaries Association; a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and Chairperson of the Travel Committee. Following Rochester Telephone, Mildred worked as the receptionist for Mixing Equipment Company and also worked part-time for the Jewish Home and Infirmary as the receptionist. She served as a committee member for Benjamin Franklin’s class reunions and an active member of AARP. She was active in the LPGA event. Mildred enjoyed traveling to six continents and gourmet cooking. Friends may call Monday (Jan 25th) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday 10:00 AM at Messiah Lutheran Church. Interment, White Haven Memorial Park.
