Gerritsen, Michael K. Buffalo: Unexpectedly, Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at age 26. Predeceased by grandfather, Kenneth Gerritsen; uncle, David Gerritsen; grandmother, Sally Wolff. Sadly missed by his parents, Marla and Larry Gerritsen; sister, Lauren Gerritsen; grandmother, Gloria Gerritsen; grandfather, Clarence Wolff; aunts, Sandra (Mike) Hogan, Charlene Wolff; uncles, Mark Gerritsen, Steve Gerritsen, Craig Wolff; cousin, Haley Gerritsen; girlfriend, Jisun Roo. Michael graduated in 2007 from Greece Arcadia High School and from the University of Buffalo in 2013. He was employed at the Buffalo News, Inc. as a web developer. Friends may call Monday (Sept 28th) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Family Recovery Network, Inc. in his memory.     Dear Marla, Larry and Lauren,
    I am so sorry that I just heard about Michael’s passing and it was not in time to stop by and hug you all. My son Kevin just told me. We were talking about what an awesome kid he was back in the Parkland/Brookside days. I have such fond memories of your beautiful family and was so blessed to have both Michael and Lauren in Kindergarten.
    My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in what must be an unimaginable time of grief.
