Greece, NY: Michael David Honan passed away on Thursday, July 11th at the age of 81.  Michael was predeceased by his parents, William & Doris Honan and his siblings:  Dorine Best, William Honan Jr., and Patrick Honan. 

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marless “Marty” (Brown) Honan; his devoted children, David Honan (Jennifer Eastman), Christine (Rick) Douglas; cherished grandchildren, Kyle & Ryan Douglas (Rayne), Matthew, Bryan, Colin, & Emma Honan, and Sean & Sarah O’Callaghan.  Michael also leaves behind his siblings;  Norman (Gloria) Honan, Joyce Kossick, Laurie (Guy) Carr; brother-in-law Ronald Brown (Dorothy Champney), beloved family, many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends. 

Mike’s love, wisdom, jokes, and the kind-hearted willingness to always help anyone in need will be truly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.  He touched so many lives and was adored by all. 

Friends may call Saturday (July 27th) 1-4 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Prayer Service will be held during calling starting at 3:00 PM. Private Interment in White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to SoftBones, Inc. in memory of Mike.

    We could all take a lesson from Mike’s book. Love fiercely, quietly, without judgement. Show that love with actions, and always have an understanding heart. The world will be a colder place without him.
