Greece: Suddenly on September 3, 2013 at age 57. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Kathy Vess; children, Christina (Brandon) Fitzgerald & Candace Vess (Jeremy Kash); grandchildren, Marlee, Jeremy Jr., Ava & Anya; parents, William & Helen Vess; brothers, William (Michele) Vess & Thomas Vess; several nieces, nephews and cousins; many dear friends. Michael’s visitation will be held Friday, September 6th, 4-8 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA.org) in his memory.

Kathy and girls, Mike was a wonderful man and we will all miss him dearly. These next few days will not be easy but please know Bill and I are here for all of you if you need anything. May Mike watch over you all and make you smile with great memories

Mike was a very good man who was very well respected &
who’d do anything for a friend without expecting anything in return. Even
though we didn’t see other that much, I always considered you a friend &
enjoyed seeing you. You’ll be missed! There really going to enjoy your laugh
up in heaven…RIP Mike
