I remember Merle fondly from my couple of visits to the North Country and through correspondence on family ancestry. He is sorely missed.

Jane, Amy & families Sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing, both your Mom & Dad were my salvation in my early days of my Hammond Agway days. If not for them, I doubt if I’d survived! Merle never hit that little white ball very far when we use to play golf, but it was always down the middle of the fairway, unlike me, long to the left then long to the right, as I get older I’m getting better, short to the left, short to the right now. Always liked seeing them at field days, want to let you know our thoughts & prayers are with you at this time. Shortie & Sue

To Amy, Jane, and your family, I will always think of your Dad with great fondness and admiration. I’ve missed both your Dad and Mom for some time now. I enjoyed meeting Merle and Helena on the summer camp road, catching up on our mutual family news and reminiscing. It always made my day just that much nicer. Take care.
