I remember Merle fondly from my couple of visits to the North Country and through correspondence on family ancestry. He is sorely missed.
Jane & Family: Our condolences to your family at this difficult time. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We won’t be able to attend your Dad’s service today due to a prior commitment; but we will be with you in spirit. God Bless.
Jane, Amy & families Sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing, both your Mom & Dad were my salvation in my early days of my Hammond Agway days. If not for them, I doubt if I’d survived! Merle never hit that little white ball very far when we use to play golf, but it was always down the middle of the fairway, unlike me, long to the left then long to the right, as I get older I’m getting better, short to the left, short to the right now. Always liked seeing them at field days, want to let you know our thoughts & prayers are with you at this time. Shortie & Sue
Jane, Amy, and Family: We were so sad to hear of Uncle Merle’s passing. Ahhh … so many happy memories! We truly miss all the good times in Florida with your Mom and Dad. Our love and hugs to you both. Mary, Jack and Sandy
Merle, I never had the pleasure of knowing you except through your daughter Amy’s stories. You must have been a wonderful man to have raised such a warm and caring family. God bless you, you are at peace.
Our prayers are with Uncle Merle’s family at this time. Wayne, Carla, Carlton,Carlee, Carson, Claire and Wayner Gates
So sorry to read of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. From the short time I knew your Dad at St. Ann’s I remember his great singing voice when the residents gathered in the TV room on the fourth floor. Peace be with you at this holiday time. Sorry about your loss. I remember Merle fondly — he was a wonderful man with a great spirit.
To Amy, Jane, and your family, I will always think of your Dad with great fondness and admiration. I’ve missed both your Dad and Mom for some time now. I enjoyed meeting Merle and Helena on the summer camp road, catching up on our mutual family news and reminiscing. It always made my day just that much nicer. Take care.
