Heaven welcomes home an angel. Aunt Mary Ellen, your smile, the twist of your head, a kiss on the cheek, your hugs, and the sparkle from your eyes will live on in my and surely other hearts and memories. Today we are selfish, we are sad, but deeply we know the peace and joy you are experiencing brings us hope. Put in a good word for us would ya, thinking I am gonna need all the help I can get! For your treasures, they are probably glad you and Uncle Joe blazed a path for them too; all they’ll do is follow in your footsteps. Peace and love to all who have gotten to know you over the years, we
love you very much!!!
i was a volunteer ‘CCD’ teacher when Mary Ellen was Religious Ed Coordinator at Christ the King. She was always kind and calm with us. i learned a lot from her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
My heart and prayers are with her beloved daughters: Mary, Annie, Kathleen and Beth and their families as they grieve Mary’s death and celebrate her life with us and her new life in Heaven. It is almost impossible for me to think about Mary without thinking of her Joe. Joe so dearly loved her as the center of his happiness. I cry with you and laugh, too, with many joyful memories.
Blessings and much love,
Dorothy Lindsay
My heart is with all of you as you mourn the loss of your mom. She is one great woman with such a caring heart and spirit. I am so sorry I won’t be able to attend the wake or funeral.I am one of the thousands with the flu! Thank you so much for mentioning Mercy Prayer Center in Mary Ellens obituary. We have shared lots of memories over the years. One of my favorites is doing dishes at High Acres with your parents singing all the old time favorites. I am sure you can imagine the scene. I am sorry the Sisters of Mercy Music Group can’t provide the music for Mary Ellen’s funeral. In my heart I will be there with you. Love, Jody Kearney
You have given so much to many….especially to me. I love you Mary Ellen.
Dear Anne, Tom, Tom, Joe and Danny,
I have wonderful memories of your Mom and Grandma from the years I attended Christ the King CCD classes. I remember chuckling with her and my dad (who was a CCD teacher) in the Religious Ed office! Her kind, gentle, cheerful nature impressed me during those years and really conveyed to me the spirit of Jesus. I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that we are praying for all of you during this time and that Mary Ellen will never be forgotten. Take Care.
