We send our deepest sympathy to all the Schmitt family on the loss of Mary’s presence in your lives.
To have her for a friend was an enriching experience for all of us.
Mary and I met at a tennis class at the YWCA. That soon led to a singles competition on the Charlotte H.S. courts. She had a good serve and used it competitively. For me to win one game was an achievement. But mostly our games were FUN.
We are so sorry we cannot attend Mary’s Funeral Mass tomorrow because of my appointment at the Wound Clinic which is at the same time.
    Betty and Bill Powell
