Rochester: died suddenly at home July 30th, 2026 at age 73, with his loving wife of 46 years by his side.
Marshall is predeceased by his parents, Ruth and Gordon Oakes and his sister, Nancy Skivington.
He is survived by his adoring wife, Christine H Oakes, children Michelle (Jeremy) Neitzel, Marshall (Angela) Oakes and Michael (Lesa) Oakes and grandchildren, Matthew Yackel (Anne Burkett), Alexis Neitzel, Adam Neitzel, Dylan Oakes, Haley Oakes, Ethan Oakes and Connor Oakes, Niece, Erin (Michael) Heuer, Nephew, David (Christine Skivington)
Marshall was a recent retiree from Allstate tool and die.
He loved singing karaoke and playing the piano and he loved to watch old tv shows from his childhood.
Friends may call Friday (August 14th) 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY 14626, where his prayer service will follow calling at 4:00 PM.

So very sorry for such a great loss. I’m so glad I got to see him at Dylan’s HS graduation. May the Holy Scriptures comfort you all at this time. So sorry Michelle,Mike,and Mar.

Marshall was a great person to talk to. Such a nice person and he also had a great hat. He will be missed.
