Marjorie Helen Thulin

Greece:  Passed away unexpectedly at home and entered the house of the lord on August 31, 2021 at age 78.

She was born January 18, 1943 in East Stroudsburg, PA.

She was predeceased by her parents Carl E. Thulin,Gertrude (Fairclough) Thulin-Gable, sister’s Beverly and Constance (Patrick) Cappiello and first husband Ralph T. Gillotte.

She is survived by her siblings Robert (Barbara) Thulin, Patricia Paris, her children Christine Gillotte, Rebecca Gillotte, and Ralph Gillotte II., grandchildren Colby C. Hathorn, Cody T. Hathorn, several nieces, nephews, and her partner of 29 years Stewart Sedore.

She grew up in Rochester and was a member of the class of 1961 at Irondequoit High School.

Member of the Genesee Figure Skating and Curling Clubs, AKC Registered Newfoundland Breeder, Professional Seamstress at the Singer Store in Geneva, NY, Licensed Cosmetologist until she started working at Eastman Kodak as a Roll-coater until retirement.

Marjorie was a fun loving spirit, practical joker and full of life to the very end. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a favorite Aunt to her many nieces and nephews from both the Gillotte and Thulin families.

Please consider any memorial contributions in her name to any animal rescue/humane organization of your choice. Marjorie loved all her dogs and cats and always donated to these causes throughout her life.

Friends may call  Wednesday, September 8,th 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson  1075 Long Pond Rd. Interment will be held Thursday, September 9th 10 AM at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (please meet at the East enterance of Lake Avenue).     I didn’t know you at Kodak; but I know one thing you had a big mouth and insulted me on the women’s locker room embarrassing me and you got in trouble for that incident. I however came to know that you were a happy go lucky sort of person and you didn’t really mean to harm at least I don’t think you did. You are happy with the lord now. I hope you can rest in peace

    Margie was one of the happiest, down to earth, people I have ever met. Her laugh was contagious. I saw her last at our 50th high school reunion, and she had me in stitches the whole evening. The world will miss her.
