Dear John, I was indeed shocked to hear that Marianne died so unexpectedly. I know how difficult these past couple of years have been for both of you. Know that I too walked these steps when I lost Rosemarie in 1989. Your deep faith and trust in God will sustain you during this difficult time and expecially in the days ahead as you move forward. God indeed has a plan for all of us. If I can be of any assistance and you would like to talk, please do not hesitate to contact me. We have been coworkers and friends for so many years. My last three years with the IRS were the most enjoyable of my career, and working with Marianne helped to make my transition from Collections to Appeals progress more smoothly. She was always upbeat, knowlegable and a true professional. Both Barbara and I extend our deepest condolences.
Dear John, You are in our thoughts and prayers. there are no words to express the sadness that comes with Marianne’s passing. Mariannne as I look at your pictures when we were young I celebrate your life and the joy you gave to others. Your laugh, your smile and your kindness. You will be missed.

Farewell my friend, Marianne. Thank you for your unwavering friendship these past 18 years, a cherished gift from you to me. We have shared a million laughs along the way and cried a few tears together, too. Now, I will cry a million tears alone. I will hold our memories close and hope that in time they will fill the hole that is in my heart. With my eternal devotion…Karen I am by Karen’s side and together we will carry a small piece of John’s burden and somehow we will find a way to see him through his grief. This is our promise to you, Marianne. May you be at peace forever…Bob
I was shocked and saddened by news of the death of Marianne. However, I am comforted by my faith that she is in heaven where illness and sadness don’t exist and eternal peace is available for earth’s angels like Marianne. I had the pleasure of working with Marianne in Appeals. She was always very competent and kind. I will forever remember her ever-present smile.
John It is nearly impossible to find the words to understand your grief. It is clear that Marianne loved you deeply, and you her. That mutual love will unite you for all eternity. Be at peace.

John, I was shocked to hear about your loss. I am sorry I did not make the visitation or service. I was in DC when I heard about Marianne. Please accept my condolences. It seems like such a short time ago that my family and I ran into you and Marianne at the Allentown Art Festival in Buffalo. You wern’t married yet, my son was barely one and now its 15 years latter. John, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Last I knew Marianne was doing well, I was very shocked and extremely saddened to hear of her sudden downturn. She was such a pleasure to work with and was always committed to her work. John, you are in my thoughts and prayers and I wish you the strength to get though this very difficult time. I have learned from experience to focus on the good times you shared and remember how your life has been blessed by being able to spend the time you had with Marianne. Take Care, Renee
John, My heart goes out to you and your Family. I’m sure with friends and family around you it will make it a little easier to get through these difficult times. My prayers are with you.
Mar, From the time our families moved into a new subdivision in 1957-across the street from each other-you have been there for every milestone of my life. We made our First Communion together, were Confirmed together. You were my Maid of Honor at my wedding. When my boys were born, again you were there. I hope I was there for you in every way, too. For 50 years we kept in touch and always knew the other was just a phone call away. I miss you. I know you are with your family and my mom. You earned your wings early, so God called you home to rest. I love you, Mare Sar

I will be here for John for as long as he needs me. I will miss you, my dear friend, but be comforted in the thought that you are at peace and never far away. Love, Bonnie

Missing you……with love
To my beautiful wife Marianne, When I meet Marianne she shined her beautiful light into my life and melted the loneliness that I was feeling. It was clear that she was a unique and special person and this became more obvious as our relationship grew in love and we were married. Other people noticed this about Marianne because she could even make strangers feel comfortable. I think it was because of her warm smile, ability to listen and kind, wise words. We enjoyed our lives together in many ways, including traveling, dining out, watching TV and the many hours that we talked about everything. Marianne was a very wise woman and because of our conversations I’ve become a much wiser and better man. Marianne had a very definite idea of marriage and that was that each spouse should give their best to the other and most time should be spent together. While she did make time for her friends she was always thinking of what she could do for me and how to make our marriage better. This included simple things like making sure I had shampoo or cooking a favorite meal. She was the example of unconditional love. Now she is gone and while there are things that we never got to do I thank God for the wonderful times that we had together. I will miss her greatly but I will never forget the love we’ve shared and our life together. Good bye honey, I love you. John
To your husband John, your sister Joanne and your brothers Paul, Tom and John – how diminished our lives will be without you, but how blessed our lives were for having you while we did. Goodbye, my dearest friend…how I will miss you. With love…
We have had so many years of dinner and laughter. Marianne’s humor and quick wit have given us all so much delight. Her spirit will always be with us.
working in Appeals, being small it is a family. Marianne was as friendly as one could be when I came out to Rochester for hearings. She was always asking me if there was anything I needed. She is truly a caring, understanding and thinks of others before herself person. John, I did not know you but you were a blessed man with Marianne’s presence. We will all join together in life’s end and all will have happiness and joy with each other’s company/
