All of us who worked with Maria at Loews appreciated her generous spirit and always kind words. She always spoke of her pride in her children and her love of her grandchildren. We will always miss her.
As Life transitions to another place, we can be comfortable in knowing that Maria will not be forgotten and that she made a difference in so many lives.
Captain my Captain: Suzanne and I are so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mother. Take comfort in knowing that her journey was a good one! There is no better testiment to that fact than yourself. You genuinly care about people and have passed on her love to those around you for as long as I’ve known you. Keep that up and her memory will burn bright. All our love, Pat ‘The Gay Au Pair’, Suzanne, Emerson and Molly
Dear Hogler. Very sad to hear about Marie. I always enjoyed seeing her as she was always funny and upbeat. My prayers are with you and your family.
Dear Holger and family, Although I did not have the privilege of meeting Maria, we did talk briefly and e-mailed shortly after her diagnosis of Amyloidosis. As a support person for the UPstate area and myself an amyloidosis caretaker, I am aware of the trials this rarely diagnosed and often under diagnosed disease imposes. The knowledge and treatment of amyloidosis is far and in between, involving the hardship health care away from home and family support. I was So Much Hoping to meet Maria and Holger at our next support group and So saddened to hear of the complications she encountered. There are many of us scattered about fighting this same battle and Hoping and Praying for a real cure or sustainable treatment. Early diagnosis is the first line of defense. We can remember Maria in a way, by raising awareness of the battle she was fighting. Information to increase knowledge and support is on our web site at http://www.amyloidosissupport.com . May you find comfort in the beautiful memories she has provided each of you. MaryAnn Kraft
