Margaret ‘Peggy DenDunne

DenDunne, Margaret ‘Peggy’ (Stallmann, Heeks) Greece: November 6, 2015 at age 89 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Beloved wife of the late Richard (Dick) F. DenNunne. Peggy will be sorely missed by her 4 children; John B. (Janet) Heeks, Anita (Fred) Heeks Vigeant of Stratford, CT, Benjamin J. (Anne) Heeks & James W. (Susan) Heeks; 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren & 1 great great-grandchild. Peggy was born in Rochester NY to the late, Benjamin and Louise (Hommel) Stallman and retired as a lab technician at Eastman Kodak Company. She was fiercely proud of the city of her birth, clipping items from the daily paper which she called ‘Rochester takes quiet pride’ and sending these ‘RTQPs’ to her family that weren’t lucky enough to live in the greater Rochester area. Before her illness, Peggy was an active member of the Church of the Ascension. She and Dick were founding members of the Maplewood Edgerton Emergency Kupboard (MEEK) serving on the board as volunteers for many years. They loved to travel almost as much as they loved their dachshunds. Peggy’s visitation will be held Thursday, November 19th 5-7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Service will be celebrated Friday, November 20th at the Church of the Ascension, 2 Riverside St. Rochester, NY 14613. Interment will follow in the Ascension Garden at the church.
