Greece – Margaret E. “Peggy” Burdick: June 19, 2024 at age 59 after a long courageous battle with complex medical issues. Survived by her children, Tricia (Josh) Thatcher and James Burdick; sister Kathy (Barry) Scorse; grandson Matthew Murray (Amber Zemaitis); niece Kristy Kuhn and nephew Sean Baker; longtime partner Greg Beadle and several other extended family.

Peggy was a Paralegal in Rochester for most of her career, and also worked in the NYS Unified Court System. She fostered great friendships with so many of her coworkers, never turning down a request from anyone for help. Peggy adored her family, and especially looked forward to hosting Sunday dinners. She loved going to the Casino – almost as much as she loved playing Lotto.

Friends may call Monday (June 24th) 4-7PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday (June 25th) at 9:30AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Avenue. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Rochester Emergency Veterinary Services (REVS), 1150 University Avenue, Rochester NY, in Peggy’s name.

From the moment Greg introduced me to Peggy we became instant lifelong friends. She will surely be missed immensely! While my aunt was battling cancer for the last 2 years Peggy was always checking in with her or I even while she was struggling with her own battles! Even last Tuesday she wanted to make sure I had a good time on vacation while she was laying in a hospital bed. She was a great woman with a huge heart! My thoughts are with the family.

I can’t imagine what it would be like to say goodbye to my twin sister. You and Peggy were like sisters to Paul and Mike. She will be sorely missed by all who loved her. Our family’s thoughts are with you.

Peggy and I worked together in our early years in the legal profession and she couldn’t have been more helpful to me! I learned so much from her. Although we didn’t keep in touch as we moved through our legal careers we would run into each other at the Four Corners, always with a hug for each other. Rest in peace Peggy. You can now breathe freely ❤️
