Al, Just want to express my deepest sympathy for your loss of Marcia. Life goes by too quickly, seems like yesterday we were very young and having fun at a Halloween party. If ever in Buffalo, please call or visit. Will remember Marcia in my prayers. God Bless, Elaine

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I thought it appropriate to tell you a neat story about Mrs. Metzinger. She was my 1st grade teacher, I believe her first year of teaching at Lakeview School. Then she was my son’s 1st grade teacher at Colebrook in her last year of teaching. My son truly loved her as a teacher. She was great at what she did and connected very much with the children. You are in my prayers. Diana Neese Rinck

I was fortunate enough to teach with Marcia at Colebrook School. She was our team leader. She made Colebrook a great place to learn as well as to work. She even got some of us on the golf course with her. Since she introduced me to golf, I’ve spent many enjoyable hours on the golf course. Thank you Marcia! I was very sad to hear about her passing and my thoughts are with you Al. I was unable to attend her memorial service but friends filled me in on some of the stories shared by Al.

Mrs. Metzinger was my 1st grade teacher at Lakeview. I still remember her kind voice, I’m 38 now, and the patience she had with all of us. Back then we had only been in New York for a short while, and I still had a Pennsylvania accent, which a lot of the other kids teased me about, so therefore, I rarely spoke in class. But Mrs. Metzinger was always there to put me at ease and with her patience, eventually brought me out of my shell. My thoughts and prayers to her family. Now Heaven has a special teacher to help with the angels.
