Rochester: Born in Salina, Puerto Rico, arrived in 1951 to Rochester. Died, Thursday, March 22, 2012. Predeceased by his parents, Cerilo Melendez and Josefa Pacheco; son, Reynaldo; daughter, Anna Elba; son, Israel. Survived by his loving wife, Dominga; sons, Joseph, Wilfredo, Hector, Miguel (Karen); daughters, Nereida (John) Ariano, Josephine Pacheco; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Luis was employed at the Strasenberg Laboratory foe 14 years, where he retired. Friends may call Sunday (March 25th) 1-4 PM at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday (March 26th) 11:00 AM at St. Michael’s Church, 869 N. Clinton Ave. Interment, Holy Sepulche Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in his memory.
I miss you grandpa. I will never forget your smile or your laugh. Love you always.
