Rochester: Friday, September 6, 2013 at age 95. Predeceased by her husband, Bernard DeVolder; daughter, Linda Sax; 3 brothers, Donald, Raymond and Bernard; 2 sisters, Margaret Bentley and Gladys Stubbs; sisters-in-law, Catherine and Lillian; brothers-in-law, Norman and Ernie. Survived by her daughter, Sandra (Ronald) Sodke; grandchildren, Helen, John (Amy), Lisa (Scott), Karen; great-grandchildren, Ben and Sarah; sister-in-law, Jennie; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Friends may call Monday (Sept 9th) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Interment, Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Ann’s Home or Lifetime Care Hospice in her memory. Even though we lived miles apart Grandma is the most influencial person in my life. She taught me to keep a positive attitude, wisdom, to be a good listener and to have a great sense of humor! She was always friendly and thoughtful. Everyone that met Grandma loved her. I will miss her terribly but am comforted she is now with her departed loved ones. I will do my best to follow in her footsteps!
