Linda Pain (Costanza)
Greece: Saturday, August 12, 2023 at age 70. Linda went home to be with her parents, Fred and Rose Costanza (Nicoletti); sister, Teri Herne; and former husband, Gary Pain. She is survived by her loving daughter, Lisa Maria Pain; brother, Fred (Maria) Costanza; brother-in-law, Terry Herne; nieces and nephews, Chrisi Herne (Steve) Jeff Herne, Sean Herne (Chris), Fred Costanza (Michelle), Steven (Tina). Great Nieces RenaRose, Ava, Shannon, Alicia, Connor, Victoria and Elliot. loving family and dear friends.
Linda graduated from RIT, Alpha Beta Chi Sorority alumni and worked as an Interpreter for the deaf for RIT. She was a loving sister, mother and friend who will be deeply missed.
Linda’s visitation will be held Monday, August 21st 4 PM – 7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Service will be celebrated Tuesday, August 22nd 10:00 AM in the chapel of the Funeral Home. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Emily Dickinson Here is what I shared about Linda: "Always sad to share the news of one of our extended Eastridge Family. I remember Linda Costanza, Class of 1971, fondly. She was tiny in stature but a giant in personality, school spirit and endless upbeat energy. In the halls she was a positive forever smiling whirlwind with a kind word and her trademark laugh. She certainly earned the senior superlative "most spirited" including being a cheerleader. She was a natural. Please lift up her family and all who love her in the healing light as they mourn her profound loss. Now even more treasured memories bring joy. Some new ones were made when she attended the Class of 1971’s delayed 50th reunion last year. May all be comforted knowing that her bright light will shine eternally now as a spirited guardian angel as her lessons are paid forward for generations to come. I was not surprised that Linda chose a career in service as a interpreter for the deaf at RIT. She had an innate ability to want to better life for others. "As long as we can love each other, and remember the feeling of love we had, we can die without ever really going away. All the love you created is still there. All the memories are still there. Linda was one of my office mates at RIT. She also did the silk flower arrangements for my wedding. We’ve had many conversations and laughter over the years. I look forward to visiting with her in Heaven one day.
