Rochester, New York, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026 at age 81 surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born in Rochester on October 6, 1944 where she lived, worked and retired from Kodak after 30 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Mike; her brothers, Roger and Bryan; her grandchildren, Bob and Megan; and her many nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her father, Gerald; and her mother, Mary Elner. She had a lifelong love and compassion for animals, dedicating much of her time to animal rescue. She found great joy in caring for her dogs and all animals in need. She will be deeply missed and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
There will be no calling hours held. In lieu of flowers, make donations to The Humane Society at Lollypop Farm or an animal rescue of your choice in Linda’s memory.
We are so sorry for your loss. Linda was such a kind, caring, and genuinely wonderful person. We will remember her for the warmth and kindness she showed to others. Her love for animals was so evident and was just one of the many things that made her special. We are thinking of you during this difficult time.
Sorry for the loss of a beautiful lady. I’m glad i got to know her and will always remember her kindness.
I was lucky enough to be able 10 plus years with this lady. We did a lot of things together, from
boating to motorcycles and trips we took. Every day she had a smile all day and got excited like
a little kid when I took her places. I loved her and really miss her.
I am so saddened by the loss of this wonderfully, kind and beautiful person. One of my fondest memories was when Linda brought a baby rescue squirrel to work as she didn’t want to leave it home. She nursed it to health and let it go. Such was her love for animals. Never had a bad word for anyone. She will be missed. 💔
Linda was a member of our single FunRaisers Club for several years. She would always light up the room whenever she came to an event. She had a very wonderful relationship with another of our members, John Turner. They so enjoyed each other’s company. I am thankful and blessed to have gotten to know Linda. She will always have a special place in our hearts. May she rest in peace.
So saddened by the loss of Linda, she was wonderful person! Enjoyed spending time with her over the past years.
