Lidia Martinescu

Rochester: Lidia Martinescu, born on December 2, 1944, in Romania, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was the cherished daughter of Ioan and Maria Constantinescu.

Coming to the US with her family in 1970, Lidia was a devoted follower of the Lord, and her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She found immense joy in the beauty of flowers and spent countless hours nurturing her garden, which was a testament to her love for nature and her green thumb.

Lidia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ray Martinescu. She is survived by her three sons, Eduard, Theodor, and Jeffrey, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

A Funeral Service to honor Lidia’s life will be held on Monday (December 23rd) at 11:00 AM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road. Interment, Riverside Cemetery. The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Lidia’s home church, Genesee Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church, in her memory.

Lidia’s warmth, faith, and love for her family and garden will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
