Spaulding, LeVerne H. Greece: Peacefully at home June 7, 2010 at age 87. Vern flew 30 combat missions as a B-17 navigator in the European Theater; 9 as squadron leader. Retired as a Major from the USAF Reserves. He also retired from DuPont after 40 years in 1981. Survived by his wife of 62 years, ‘Bobbie’ (Leach) Spaulding; children, Linda (Jim) Kruchten-Merring & Bud (Maria) Spaulding of Silver Springs, FL; granddaughters, Melissa (Matthew) Fuino & Jennifer Spaulding; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Trevor & Piper Fuino. His Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, July 3, 11:00 A.M. at Concord Lutheran Church, 485 Holmes Road, Greece NY 14626. Internment in Delaware Veteran’s Cemetery. Please direct donations to 381st Bomb Group Memorial Association, Memorial Trust Fund, 145 Kimel Park Drive, Suite 370, Winston-Salem, NC 27103-6972 in his memory.

    Bobbi, Linda, Missy, You know Vern was vey special to me in many ways. I shall remember him with love and fondness always. Everytime a plane flys overhead, he is with it. Love to all, Jim
