Spaulding, LeVerne H. Greece: Peacefully at home June 7, 2010 at age 87. Vern flew 30 combat missions as a B-17 navigator in the European Theater; 9 as squadron leader. Retired as a Major from the USAF Reserves. He also retired from DuPont after 40 years in 1981. Survived by his wife of 62 years, ‘Bobbie’ (Leach) Spaulding; children, Linda (Jim) Kruchten-Merring & Bud (Maria) Spaulding of Silver Springs, FL; granddaughters, Melissa (Matthew) Fuino & Jennifer Spaulding; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Trevor & Piper Fuino. His Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, July 3, 11:00 A.M. at Concord Lutheran Church, 485 Holmes Road, Greece NY 14626. Internment in Delaware Veteran’s Cemetery.     Bobbi, Linda, Missy, You know Vern was vey special to me in many ways. I shall remember him with love and fondness always. Everytime a plane flys overhead, he is with it. Love to all, Jim
