Leon E. Kawacz
Greece: Wednesday, August 10, 2022. Leon E. Kawacz passed away peacefully at home, at the age of 85, with family by his side. He is predeceased by his parents Leo and Stella Kawacz; brother, Richard Kawacz; and sister, Genie Versaggi. He is survived by his daughters, Lorri Civalier (Michael) and Monica Kaplin (Rick); granddaughter, Sarah Jamieson; and great grandson, Levi Jamieson Erne.
After graduating from RIT, our dad worked at Xerox as a draftsman and eventually went into graphic design in the late 1970s. He was especially proud when he received a patent in 1990 for a holographic display module for displaying machine status. He will be truly missed by our family, but we know he is dancing with our mommy in heaven.
No prior calling. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Sending many thoughts, prayers, hugs and kisses to you all. I am sure your Dad has been reunited with your Mom looking over a glistening pool some nice soft music in the background small cloud of a really nice cigar hovering above sipping a ice cold beer. Rest in peace Mr.Kawacz.
I love you Daddy, you are now with our beautiful Mommy. I will miss you forever, nothing will ever be the same. Until we meet again.
The world was a better place because you were in it! Life was so fun growing up with you and Marilyn as my second parents across the street. You will be missed by so many. Monica and Lorri, my prayers will be with you, always.

Leon, you were a light, a mentor, a comic genius. You gave us two beautiful girls, friends and neighbors we cherish. Fond memories of you swiping your hair over your head when you emerged from the pool at clambakes where you drank my dad under table.. and indeed under the fence, as he crawled home through your back yard to puke up beer and corn on the cob that you expertly grilled. You and your beautiful wife Marilyn were second parents to me and my brothers. I am glad you can be with her again. Give her a hug for me.

Dear Monica and Lorri, I want to send along our condolences from the Drobek family. My name is Mark and my older brother Mike and my sister Michele have passed away. Mitchell and Marty are younger and only remember Leon from family gatherings where he played the accordion. Aunt Sophie and Uncle Mickey (my parents) have been gone quite a while now. Your father was one of my older cousins and I have fond memories of all of the cousins at different get togethers over the years. It seems to me he always had a smile on his face. I’m sorry he’s gone. (Diane send me this link.)
