McCue, Lawrence H. Gates: August 10, 2015. Lawrence H. McCue died peacefully at age 77 after a brief illness. Larry was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Rosalind; parents, Frank and Frances McCue; sisters-in-law Barbara McCue and Linda McCue; and brother-in-law James Agnello Jr. He is survived by his son, Dr. Patrick McCue; his daughter and son-in-law, Jeanine and Anthony Piccirillo; cherished grandchildren Anthony Ross Piccirillo and Samantha Rose Piccirillo; brothers Bernard McCue and Joseph (Pam) McCue; brother-in-law Alan (Linda) Agnello; sister-in-law Rita Noce; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friend Judy Van Druff. Larry grew up in Dutchtown, attended Holy Family School, and graduated from Edison Tech. He served in the U.S. Army as a military police officer at Fort Stewart, Ga. After his service, he went to work at Eastman Kodak as a master machinist and eventually supervisor before retiring after 35 years with the company. He earned his management degree from RIT. During retirement he and Roz enjoyed golf, traveling around the country, and spending winters in Las Vegas. In recent years he enjoyed visiting with his grandchildren in North Carolina. Larry was a faithful parishioner of St. Jude’s Church since its founding, and served as an usher and active member of the St. Jude’s Men’s Club. The family wishes to thank Lifetime Care Hospice and the nursing staffs at Crest Manor and Unity Hospital for their wonderful care during Larry’s illness. Friends may call Thursday (Aug 13th) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 10:00 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Church, Gates. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lifetime Care Hospice in his memory.
