Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer
An Irish Funeral Prayer: Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Everything remains as it was. The old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no sorrow in your tone. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effort Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting, when we meet again
An Olde Irish Wish: May the raindrops fall lightly on you brow May the soft winds freshen your spirit May the sunshine brighten your heart May the burdens of the day rest lightly upon you And may God enfold you in the mantle of His love.
CJ, Mark and AJ got ya bro. You are in good hands. We will miss you more than you know. Our family suddenly seems so small. Your memory will be kept alive by all the nieces and nephews who loved their favorite Uncle Kevin. Charlie and I will never forget you ordering the ‘old stand-by rump steak’ in every German restaurant in April 1998. You had so much to give and have left us way too soon. I love you.
Dan and the entire Ryan Family and Friends, Kevin had the most amazing zest for life both in the office and outside. He lived everything to the fullest. His energy, quick mind, commitment and humor will be greatly missed. We are going to be lost without his daily early morning update whether work related or not! My thoughts continue to be with you. Patty

I am truly sorry for your loss. Though I did not know Kevin, I did have the best 4 years of my life with Dan at AQ. And I’m sure Kevin is the same caring and fun loving man as his brother and will be truly missed. May he cast never ending smiles upon his family in his new role in life as your ‘ ANGEL ‘
I am very sorry and shocked about your loss. My heartfelt condolences for the loss of your boy. As his teacher, I recall Kevin in the classroom, in Spring 2004, and how he managed to do so very well and smilingly in all the exams and projects in Heat Transfer at UofR. He aced the 3rd midterm, and he aced the final project, too. I am very certain that he is in good hands, an ace!
I can only imaging the sadness and sorrow you feel at the sudden loss of Kevin. It seems like only yesterday that he was here at the UR, preparing for a very bright and happy future as a newly minted mechanical engineer. Seeing his picture, and those in the tribute, remind me of his personal ability to bring a smile to any situation. I remember him as a sincere student who did his best and gave each task a sincere effort. I remember his cheerful disposition. Whenever I would see him in the hall, or on the quad, or at some of the many events, I would always feel good about the interaction. Kevin had that kind of rapport with people. I was stunned to hear of the accident which so tragically took him from us. I like to think of my students as friends and I am sad to have lost Kevin. My heartfelt condolences to you, his parents, and to you, his siblings, and to the entire Ryan family. Dave Quesnel, Professor of Mechanical Engineering, U of R.
I give you this one thought to keep I am with you still – I do not sleep I am a thousand winds that blow I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sunlight on ripened grain I am the gentle autumn rain, When you awake in the morning’s hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not think of me as gone - I am with you still in each new dawn. There are no words that we can say to comfort you at this time. We are deeply saddened by your loss and pray for your family. May you find peace, Steve and Dawn
I want to express my heartfelt sympathy to Kevin’s family and friends. All of us in the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering feel his loss deeply. John H. Thomas Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Sciences and of Astronomy

When I turned around to see who it was, I seen you! I have a few photos on my fridge of you and Mark. I think about you two a lot! I just spoke to Tom Ryan about a week ago. Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds, and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there, I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air. . . . Up, up the long, delirious burning blue I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace Where never lark, or ever eagle flew And, while with silent, lifting mind I’ve trod The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God. May you find some comfort knowing that we all grieve with you.
Our deepest condolences and sympathy to the entire Ryan family. Kevin will truly be missed by the HS family. Continue to seek God for comfort and know that you are always in our prayers.
Our deepest sympathy and thoughts are with you at this difficult time. May your family strength help you find peace.
Our hearts have been broken once again. Kevin was an inspiration to all who met him. Fond memories of his late brother Mark and I along with Kevin loading a Farmall Cub on Manitou Road will be with me forever. I can picture them now doing similar fun things up in heaven. What a team! Smiling, joking and hands covered with grease. Rest easy dear Kevin. I was so fortunate to have had you as a friend.

Ryan Family–I am truly sorry to hear of the loss of your youngest son. I have a fond memory of him as 2 years old (can you believe it) when he was already ‘Uncle Kevin’ and Lisa and I used to hang out at the house together.
