Prattsburgh: January 15, 2012, at age 80. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years Evelyn Smouse; daughters, Catherine (William) Vandewater, Linda (Peter) Mrozek; Grandchildren, Kimberly (Chuck), Kenneth (Stephanie), Gina, Joe, Kristy; great-grandchildren, Fox, Jade, Cheyene, Harley, Brooke, Bailey, Bryce, Derek, Madison; brother, Harold (Dorothy) Smouse, Sisters, Doris Bataglia, Ruby Cramer; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ken retired from the Xerox Corporation and fostered several children in which remained in his heart always. He was a wonderful man and will be sadly missed. No prior calling. His Memorial Service will be held on January 25, 2012, 7 PM at Prattsburgh Baptist Church, 5 N. Main Street, Prattsburgh, NY 14873. Interment held privately. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Prattsburgh Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society in Ken’s memory.

    Dear Uncle Ken, I love and miss you…you were to me a dad afterI lost my dad. Being near you, I was with dad again, and he was still here. Tell dad that I love and miss him so much. And you both will always be in my thoughts . I will always remember the trips to Canada. Happy fishing and hunting. Pammy

    Evelyn and family, Bill, Ryan, and I send our thoughts and prayers to you. I will always cherish the memories of Ken at camp. To me we weren’t just neighers we were family. We love and miss you ken Tracey

    We were very sad to hear of Kennys passing. He will be greatly missed. Especially during the deer hunting season at the Pipe house. We have many happy memories. David and Linda Lannoye

    I am so sorry,Evelyn, My prayers and love are with you. Only in Christ can friends be so close and yet so far.You have been on my mind and heart for over a month now and now I know why.. Ken will always be a part of us he was and is a laughing angel… He always made me laugh and I loved it.. As life settles for you (long time ,I know) give me a call .585-233-8922.
