Hilton: Kathleen is predeceased by her father, Jeremiah O’ Shea. Survived by her husband, Gerald Bauman; her daughters, Jennifer Bauman and partner Phil Balta, Heather Bauman; her brother, Peter O’Shea and spouse Maureen O’Shea; step-sister, Barb Akuncius and husband Chris; sister-in-law, Yvonne O’Shea; grandson, Jared Bauman and partner Arianna Watson; great grandchildren, Leah, Alaina and Jeremiah; along with many nieces and nephews.
Kathleen was a wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, sister, sister-in-law and aunt. But she was our family’s “Mama “ she loved that we all called her that and she took her role very seriously. She became the Matriarch of our family when her sister Susan passed. She loved big family gatherings. She was born I. Rochester one of 4 siblings Her relationship with them was instrumental in shaping the woman she became She Graduated from Arcadia high school. She and the love of her life were together over 60 years, married 58 of those years. She gained not just a partner, but a whole new family. his brothers and sister, and in time their families – who became like her own. and got to experience something she was not accustomed to, a lifestyle of living on a farm. She had two daughters, Jennifer and Heather. The second love of her life was being a mom, only to be surpassed by being a grandma and then a great grandma. She was a business owner in her earlier years then worked as a bus monitor for the Greece School District. She was very proud of all her work experiences and made many friends in all those years. She had a booming personality a touch of drama and a sassy sense of humor. And loved winning at the casinos! She was enormously generous and genuinely loved helping people. She loved her family and friends with all her heart. She will be deeply missed by her circle of family and friends.
Friends may call Sunday (March 8th) 2-4 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday (March 9th) 10:00 AM at St. Lawrence Church, Greece, NY. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Verona Street Animal Shelter in her memory.
