Greece: Monday, August, 4, 2014 at age 83. Predeceased by his wife Mary S. Theobald. Survived by his son, Mark (Salu) Theobald, daughter, Joan (Robert) Lyons, their children, David and Katie; son, Dan (Susan) Theobald, their children, Kyle and Katherine; his brother, Eugen (Heidi) Theobald, their son, Ralph. Karl was born in Pirmasens Germany in 1931. He immigrated to USA after World War II. He served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954. In 1954, Karl became a US citizen. Karl Worked as a compositor and in phototypesetting production at Rochester Typographic Service and Setronics Ltd. His Memorial Service will be held Friday (August 8th) 1:00 PM in the chapel of Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home 1075 Long Pond Road. Private interment, Falls Cemetery. To Joan and the whole Theobald family… So sorry to read of your Dad’s passing. I was looking up an obituary for a friend’s son and saw you Dad’s obituary. Wishing you and your family peace and comfort in good memories.

I so loved Karl. He lived with us when he came the the U.S. He was more a brother to me than my blood brothers. We shared a love for books, movies, classical music and most importantly our love for Jesus Christ as our Savior. I hope Karl received my last letter a few weeks ago. I sent the book ‘Jesus Calling’ along with it. See you later dear cousin!
