Josephine Tirraccine

Greece: died peacefully on March 10th, 2017 at Piedmont Medical Center in Fort Mill, South Carolina at the age of 96. Josephine was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 27, 1920. At age one, her family relocated to Rochester, NY where Josephine was a life-long resident, known to many. She was married to Sam Tirraccine, her life-long sweetheart on June 3, 1944 in Rochester, NY. Josephine and Sam enjoyed 72 years of marriage and together raised two daughters, Angela and Sarah, and two grandchildren, Neil VandenBosh and Jennifer DeLucia (VandenBosch). Her husband Sam Tirraccine; daughter, Sarah Orlando; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren survive Josephine. Predeceased by her daughter, Angela VandenBosh (Tirraccine) and her brother, James Cumella, among many other close family members and friends. Friends may call Friday (March 17th) 9:30-11:30 AM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, where her Funeral Service will follow calling Friday 11:30 AM in the funeral home chapel.
