Joseph Albert Piehler Fairport, New York: Friday, January 26, 2018. Survived by his children, Leslie (Bob) Legler, Nick (Kelli) Piehler, Joe Piehler; grandchildren, Tyler and Jake Legler, Jonathan and Brynn Piehler; his siblings, Michael (Kathi) Piehler, Mary Alice Piehler, Joanne (Scott) Kadous, John (Mary) Piehler; many dear friends. Joe was the Business Manager for Piehler Pontiac Corp and opened his own dealership, The Piehler Motor Car Company in Newark, New York. Joe retired from the business. Joe loved boating and was often with friends and family cruising Lake Ontario, the Thousand Islands and taking quick trips in his ski boat up and down the Erie Canal. Joe easily met and talked to people wherever he went and will be remembered for his unique ability to breathe fun into peoples’ lives. This defining attribute shall be greatly missed. No prior calling. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday (Feb 2nd) 10:00 AM at St. John of Rochester, 8 Wickford Way, Fairport. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Aquinas Institute, 1127 Dewey Avenue, Rochester, NY 14613 in his memory.     Mike and Kathy, May the Lord give you peace of heart in the midst of this loss. It is difficult to lose a younger sibling – I speak from personal experience. Remember the good times and rely on God. You are in my prayers.

    Dick and I were sorry to read of Joe’s passing. He came to our home often and we liked him very much. He always left after he had a peanut butter and jam sandwich.I am sure God greeted him with one, May you rest in peace Joe. Nancy Nachtwey

    My prayers to the Piehler family, may Joe rest in peace. Joe was a good man and really had a friendly personality, he would always try to be a friend to everyone and he had a good sense of humor. We will miss Joe and his love for Peanut Butter.
