Many thoughts go to Mary Beth and family from the Christian Brothers at All Hallows. John remains in our daily prayers and Mass. Jim Hamilton described John as a real man with true love for his family and others. God’s Blessings at this time, and always.
Mary Beth, Bridget & Kyle, my heart goes out to all of you. I was so sorry to hear this tragic news. Your husband/dad was such a sweet guy with so much life ahead of him. Mary Beth, Bridget & Kyle,

a great soccer dad! His kindness and quiet demeanor will be missed at every soccer game. We were all blessed for having known him.
I am keeping you all in my prayers.
Mary Beth
I am so sorry for your loss. John was such a great man and he will be greatly missed at Flaum Eye Institute. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers
Dear Meade Family,
I am very fortunate to have known John as head administrator at the Flaum Eye Institute for the last eight years. He was always smiling and in a positive mood when every our paths would cross. John would always start our meetings with a loving recount of family activities. As a fellow Rochesterian, I would enjoy reminiscing with him about growing up in Rochester. I miss John and the office will not be the same without him. I send my heartfelt sympathy, love, and light to you all and will always remember John’s gentle warmth and kindness.

Dearest Cousins, Mary Beth, Bridget, and Kyle,
Deep-felt love and sympathy from your cousins in Chile, here at the end of the earth. We are with you in spirit and love and are so sad along with you. Your dear husband and father was a marvelous person and came to this earth to give it more kindness and love. We all benefited from his presence among us and we will never forget him.
Your cousins,
Doris and Chano
Mary Beth, Bridget & Kyle, my thoughts and prayers are with you. John was such a wonderful, kind, gentle soul who had such respect for everyone he crossed paths with. I will miss seeing his smiling face every day . Wishing all of you much love and strength to help you through the difficult times. God Bless.
Maria Harisis
Mary Beth, Kyle and Bridget, I cannot express in words how truly sorry I am for your loss. I’m not even able to describe how awful I feel that the world lost this extraordinary man. He’s at peace now and I’m certain he’s watching over you wishing he could take away your pain. Our soccer family will never be the same and this season is dedicated to one of (if not THE) best sideline soccer dads I’ve ever known. God bless you and your family and please know you are not alone. So much love surrounds you all.
While I knew John professionally (and he dedicated so much of himself to the Eye Institute — for which we are most grateful!), John was inherently a family man. All of our meetings began with him talking about his rich home life, weekend adventures, and his wife and kids of whom he was most proud. His life was too short, but fulfilled – and he spread his positive energy amongst us all. We will all feel his loss.
Dear Mary Beth, Bridget and Kyle,
John was the very best; irreplaceable. From the numerous conversations we had together, I know his love for you all was so very deep. I’m so sorry that his time with you was far to short. He will be missed and remembered forever.
John was one in million! Why God takes the very best too soon is a mystery. We are all so very blessed to have known and loved him. My heart aches for you all. All my love, your cousin, Mary Jo

Dear Meade Family,
I want to send my heartfelt condolences to your family. I worked with John here at the Flaum Eye Institute and I will miss him dearly. He was a very kind man who always smiled no matter what. I will keep your family in prayer. May God Bless you all and may he give your family the strength.
Dear Mary Beth and Family

Mary Beth, Bridget, and Kyle. I want to express my deepest sympathy in John’s passing. John was just not just a supervisor, he was a good friend who always had a smile. We had good times together both in the office as well as out. He was a true sports fanatic and we liked to poke fun at one another as well as a prank or two. I will cherish those memories.
I met John through AUPO. We were on the board together and became friendly, seeing each other at meetings once a year and for the annual board meeting in San Francisco. I left the ophthalmology world about two years ago and recently was informed of John’s passing. John was one of the nicest people I have ever known. My heart goes out to his family and friends. I know he will be deeply missed. May God comfort you in this difficult time.
