I met Jack when his wife Annie became a resident at MCH. He brought his guitar every day, and played for her and spent all his time in her room. Eventually, he met others and he and Annie spent time at activities and making friends. Jack became an important part of the the MCH music scene, with both recreation and church. He befriended my son Rob, who was just learning the guitar. he took time to talk with Rob, encouraging him , and talking about being a musician. Jack also sat in with my husband’s band when they played at MCH. It wasn’t until he was a resident last month that he shared that his principal instrument was french horn! I enjoyed every time we visited, and his passion for music, shared with humility and skill. He wanted nothing but to share his music while sharing his life with Annie. My family all will miss him, and the music and stories he shared so generously. I am sorry I can’t be here to visit this last time. Our son Rob is a now a musician. Thank you Jack!
