Sage, John L. Greece:  Monday, May 8, 2017 at age 89 (two weeks shy of 90). Beloved husband, proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He is predeceased by son Michael. He is survived by wife, Rosemary; children, Diane (Clyde) Siverd, Patricia (Patrick) Damico; grandchildren, Brian (Nicole Lupiani) Siverd, Eric (Rebecca Goldfeder) Siverd, Alexander Siverd, Christopher (Karen) Damico; two great-grandchildren, Sage and Ari Jack. John was a proud WWII Navy veteran serving as a Radioman on the aircraft carrier USS Badoeng Strait, Pacific Fleet. He was a graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh and SUNY Brockport. John taught math for 34 years and retired from RCSD.  John married his childhood sweetheart and they had 65 wonderful years together. He especially loved their 37 summers at their cottage on Seneca Lake. After retirement they travelled extensively. He also enjoyed golfing, and most of all table tennis, well into his 80s. John was especially proud of the Gold and Silver medals he won at the Empire State Senior Games in 2007 and 2008.  His was a life well lived. No prior calling hours.     Mr. Sage, you were one of my favorite teachers and I was just thinking of you the other day! You were the meaning of teacher! You made me want to learn! You are loved by so many of your students! Thank you….RIP!
