John, Bob Large, Carol Beale and I, cecille shorter worked together in the 60’s. We had lots of laughs -large,stout,shorter. John was so funny, caring, helpful, great person. I was just out of college and green behind the ears. I will always remember those 6 years with joy. So many great memories. My email is cecille.shorter@yahoo.com

My condolences to the Stout family. I never met John, but I do have a memory to share: My parents were friends with John through Mother of Sorrows. Very early one Christmas morning (sometime in the early 1980’s), my dad had a medical emergency and refused to call an ambulance. Mom called John, who came over and talked dad into going to the hospital, probably saving his life. Thank you, John, for being there.

I remember how John (and you too Alice) were always so helpful when we worked together at the ambulance. I learned so much from you! Those were good times! Losing him is a big hit to our community. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

My sincere condolences to the Stout family. I worked with John at Kodak for over a decade and he truly brought much fun and laughter to the job. I have tried to keep in contact with him since he retired, occasionally emailing and talking on FB with him. I wish his family happy memories of him and I hope you find some comfort in them. I know I will.
