John Edward Dunford

He passed peacefully in his home on January 16, 2007. Predeceased by his wife, Agnes(Vogler) and his brother, George(Katherine). He is survived by his son, Glenn Patrick(Patricia M. Chlebus); daughter, Sue Ann; grandaughter, Katie Lynn of Philadelphia and Kelly Marie; sister, Thelma M. Griffin Harter(Robert), brother, Charles of Lutz, Florida; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins in Watertown and Canada. In WWII, John served with U.S. Navy Combat Demolition Unit 127 on Utah Beach, Normandy and Underwater Demolition Team 24 in the Pacific. He was a proud member of several Naval Special Warefare organization, DAV and the VFW. Friends may call Saturday 4-7PM at the Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Service will be held at 7PM immediately following visitation. Private interment held at the convenience of family.
