Pat and I are so sorry fo your loss. Please know we share that loss as we were fortunate enough to know her for over 50 years ever since we became neighbors when we were small. I remember all the fun we had around the pool in our backyard and her kindnesses to us when our parents passed. As we grew older, a special friendship developed that we cherished. She is at home now, in the beauty and splendor of heaven, more alive than ever. We send our love and prayers.
Thank you so much Andy and Patty. We have wonderful memories growing up together. Thank you for being great neighbors.
Love, The Sterling family.
So lucky and glad to grow up in the Sterling neighborhood. Mrs Stering and family taught me to not fear german sheperds and how to climb trees. Hugs to the family.
To everyone in the Sterling Family – my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. May you have peace knowing Joan is in a good place and you will always have wonderful memories.
Dick, Dan, Eileen, Mary, Michael, and Julie,
I am so sorry for your loss. While no one could ever replace Joan, I want you to know that as long as I am here on earth, you will always have a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen to you. Thank you all for making me feel so much a part of this family. Love, Aunt Gladys.
Today, I lost my dear friend who I shared, laughed and cried with. We traveled together with our friends and family to Florida, Scotland, England, and Ireland. We bowled together, played Euchre together, shared Tuna Wednesdays and Sunday pancakes. I watched your courageous battle with cancer, I saw you in pain, but you never complained, you always had a smile on your face and a ‘How are you?’. Even during your most challenging times, you so unselfishly were always interested in what was happening with everyone else. I was amazed at your strength, faith and courage. I admire you, you are my hero. I will miss you so much. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand. Rest in peace my dear friend. -Gladys
I want to thank all my family and friends for your love and support in remembrance of my mom. We find comfort knowing how many people that loved her and remember all the fun times we had growing up. She will be missed but is smiling down upon us from heaven. Thank you all.
Our deepest condolences to the Sterling family. Thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time. May the memories you hold so close to your heart bring you comfort and peace.
Sr. Eileen and Gladys and Family:
May the memories you have help you through this difficult time. I never meet Joan but if she’s anything at all like her brother she was a kind and loving woman. May God bless you all.
I’m honored to have known Joanie. The day we met her (Kate Monfort, Aimee Clark and myself), she and Dick took us in as her kids … like she needed anymore! 🙂 They were there to support us, feed us, cheer us on, and love us since the day we met them. We will miss her and know we will see her ‘around town’. All my love – Meggo
