Dear Joan: We were saddened to see Jerry’s notice in the paper. We first met in the Strong rehabilitation unit, March 2017. Jerry for his horrible accident and me for a brain tumor. Jerry and I crossed paths many times during those few weeks. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Carl & Debbie

Though we only knew of each other for a short time, I considered it an honor to know you! Each day I saw you, you had a smile and would say ‘hello’! Which also brought me strength. May God continue to bless your family with comfort and strength during this time. Till we meet again in His kingdom!

Joan, I am one of the many ham radio people who, over three decades, and in many different roles, was a Hamtronics customer and voice on the other end of the phone for Jerry and you. I’m deeply saddened to hear of Jerry’s passing. I just now found out. I regret that I didn’t know Jerry personally, but I wanted to thank Jerry and you, in your Hamtronics endeavor. Jerry provided guidance and equipment for some interesting challenges, like a walk-about device to measure pager coverage in lower Manhattan. It’s core was one of Jerry’s 900 MHz receivers. One of my favorite things in electronics was building a Hamtronics kit. They were always so well designed and his thorough documentation helped me learn.
