Rochester: passed away at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at age 91 in Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born in Genesee, PA on September 30, 1921 to parents, Melvin and Daisy Easten; adopted and raised by Clayton W. Baldwin and Minnie Ira Sloan Baldwin. Jean is survived by eight children; Mary Albertsman & husband Bernie, Barbara Wells & husband Charles, Bette LaPlante & husband Brooks, Beverly Bensky & husband Norman, Clayton Cuvelier & wife Debra, Diane Cuvelier, Donald Cuvelier & wife Julie, and Richard Cuvelier & wife Helen. Also surviving are 26 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, daughter-in-law Pauline Cuvelier; son-in-law, Edward Starken; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Elsworth Cuvelier, as well as 12 brothers & sisters. Jean was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, and volunteered at the 14th& Chestnut Food Pantry—Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard. While living in Orlando, FL, Jean also volunteered with ‘The Shepherds’, a Church group who fed the homeless in the greater Orlando area. In addition, Jean was a member of the Shady Ladies group at the Shady Oaks Retirement Village. While raising her family in Greece, NY she also worked as a LPN at Latta Road Nursing Home. No prior calling. Her Graveside Prayers will be held Monday (July 1st) 11:00 AM at White Haven Memorial Park. Please meet at the main gate.
