Janice (Parr) Fox at age 79, of Spencerport and Greece
Predeceased by her parents Edith and J. Everett Parr, and by brother in-law John B Wilson.
Survived by her loving husband Myron of 56 Years, and sisters Marsha (Jack) Prince, Nancy Wilson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving children Rebecca (David) Harazin, Bryan (Laura) Fox, Leslie (Ryan) Ruta. and “adopted” son Jacob Lange Her pride and joy were here Grandchildren Leah Harazin, Noelle (Noah) Wheaton, Landon & Elaina Harazin; Savannah, & Kaleb Fox; and Reece Ruta. along with cousins, nieces and nephews.
Janice was born in Rochester on July 15, 1944, and was a 1962 graduate of Charlotte High School, where she worked with her classmates to organize formal reunions, and monthly mini reunions thru 2022. Her early job (secretary at Eastman Kodak) is where she met Myron on a blind date. In late1966 she finally accepted the last of many marriage proposals Myron gave, and they were wed December 17. She continued working at Kodak for the next 8 years until children began to appear. Then she became very active in their lives in the school, and with 4-H, youth sports, etc. Her home became the gathering place for the neighborhood children for many years, even while they were in high school. She later volunteered for BOCES II with the Special Education Programs at Spencerport, Greece, and Hilton. She lived in Spencerport for 42 years, then in Greece for the last 12.
Janice’s many loves in this life outside of her Children and Grandchildren include Square dancing, Motorcycling, knitting, reading, gardening, traveling and family vacations. She was very active in John Knox Church, on the board of Deacons, taught Sunday School, active in most of their extra activities, and volunteered through the Greece F.I.S.H. Organization to transport seniors to medical appointments. All who knew her greatly admired her selfless giving to help others in need. Her social adventures with family and friends took her to many outdoor places, coffee or tea shops, and restaurants.
Relationships are what Janice valued and prioritized most. She’d spend time searching and shopping for just the right card, or thoughtfully selected gifts, purchased months ahead of time, to be sent out at just the right day so it would arrive at just the right time.
Ever since 1966, Janice accompanied Myron on the back of his various motorcycles, sometimes with her eyes closed when they went too fast on corners. She logged thousands of miles through the east coast states on the current Honda from Maine, down to South Carolina for the famous “Deals Gap”, and going “Around the Lakes” of Michigan and Superior twice. She even owned and rode her own small motorcycle for a year.

My name is Jennifer Turek. I teach with Rebecca at Unity junior high school and Rebecca is a very dear friend of mine. I just wanted to tell you your whole family that I am so very sorry for your loss. Please know that I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
Our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to my brother Myron, the Fox family and friends. Heaven received an angel from earth Saturday . May Janice Rest in Peace . In lieu of flowers, we have made a donation to House of Mercy.
If memory serves, Janice once said that she loved to climb trees as a young girl. Active, determinded, seeking a moment of solitude and a grand view, it’s easy to see why her list of accomplishments is long and varied. For the last several high school reunions, she was a committee member and helped bring these events to a heartwarming fruition. All with friendship and a smile. We miss her already!
Our deepest sympathy to Myron & family on your loss of Janice. May she rest in peace for knowing we will all be together again someday. Love Always, Ron & Marie Bartoo

Myron we are so sorry for your loss. There are no words to express our sadness. You and your family are in ours thoughts and prayers.
I worked for Boces 2 as an aide in special education for many years. Janice was so generous and dedicated to the children and staff! We were thrilled when she could join us to accompany the class to field trips. We knew we would all do better with her assistance. My sympathy to her wonderful family. May memories comfort you as she loves you from above.
I knew Janice for about 50 years. First met her when Steve and I moved next door to her in Spencerport. We spent many days watching our children play together in our backyards and enjoying a cup of tea and baked goodies. Had many great discussions about varied topics. Will miss her and know she is now lifted up in Gods arms. She believed!!!! Praying for all the family, keep her love and memories close to heart, always have a smile when you think of Janice, it would make her very happy that you remember her with joy in your hearts!
Janice, you touched my heart and I will miss you. Have a wonderful journey.
Myron and family, Deepest condolences to you all. Memories of Janice are so sweet! Growing up on Meadow Dr with wonderful neighbors, like the Fox family brings back so many fond childhood times. The kindness for others, neighbors in the true sense of the word is what Janice exemplified. One day several kids in the neighborhood were roller skating up a down the road. Janice was out in the front yard and offered us a smoother skating surface on their concrete driveway!! This was before they had become a common, in fact it was probably the only on the street. She told us to come over any time, that it was safer for us than skating in the street. The Lord places people in our lives for many reasons. I am blessed to have known Janice! Now May the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all. 2Thessalonians 3:16
Janice Parr Fox , the kindest person of all inside the Fox family. Beautiful Home, best friend & wife of 56 years, she could be found riding 2nd seat on Myron’s Honda Motorcycles,; & just the same enthusiasm for them taking the kids to all their scheduled sports & 4-H club meets. Making Dinner & setting the table was a beautiful home made experience with both Janice & Myron, what a team , glad I have some of the best memories of participating. The years that Myron & Janice spent sending photographs of Motorcycle & Car trips, & all the Fox Tee Shirt Family Vacations is the best descriptor of Love of Family & Life. Having the choice to become Snowbird from Rochester to Florida, created so many dinner by sunset memories, I adored those photographs ! Church & God’s Presence made a clear path for Janice to have the best of Family, Love , Adoration by friends & Family, plus her sister-in law’s apex of admiration & gratitude !
