James Walker Jim Walker passed away on November 2, 2020, five days after his 105th birthday. He was born and raised in New Jersey.  He served four years in the US Army during WWII.  He met and married his wife, Eleanor, in Massachusetts and lived there until his move to Rochester is 2008. Jim was predeceased by his wife in 2005.  He is survived by three children Ann (Ed Morgan), Nancy Killian (Steve Killian), and Victoria Walker.  He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Jane Killian, Carol Killian, and James Killian.  We lost a great man and gentleman who will be missed by many. Jim worked in the general insurance business for over 40 years.  Jim and Eleanor retired to Chatham, MA, on Cape Cod upon their retirement.  They split their time at the Cape with their home in Sarasota, FL.   Jim was an avid golfer and was very proud of his two hole-in-ones.   He spent many days enjoying the beautiful golf course at Eastward Ho! in Chatham. Technology always fascinated  Jim.  He enjoyed having and using the newest gadgets.  He was still sending texts as he turned 105! One of the most memorable experiences of the last few years was his trip to Washington DC with the Honor Flight Rochester in September 2015.  He felt that it was a very rewarding experience.   Saturday morning coffee at the clubhouse was another favorite activity of Jim’s, as it gave him the opportunity to visit with all his friends and neighbors. The funeral will be private.  When circumstances allow, the family would like to host a Saturday morning coffee at the clubhouse to honor Jim.  The family requests any donations be made to Honor Flight Rochester in lieu of flowers.   Donations may be made through their web site at:  honorflightrochester.org. or mailed to:  Honor Flight Rochester Inc., P.O. Box 23581, Rochester, NY 14692.
