James W. Brooks

May 13, 2023 at age 98 1/2.  Predeceased by his first wife, Ethelyn and second wife, Betty; son-in-law, Wayne Keemer.  Survived by his children, Carol (John) L. Watkins, Gail Keemer, Jay W. (Rhonda) Brooks; step-son, Gary (Katsuko) Sears; grandchildren, Tammy, Tim, Kelly, Alyssa and Sky; 9 great-grandchildren; many loving family and dear friends.

James was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and served our Country during WWII as a Seabee. He retired after 38 years as a carpenter for DuPont.  James enjoyed bowling, was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

James’ celebration of life will be held Friday, May 19th 10:00 AM in the chapel of Vay-Schleich & Meeson 1075 Long Pond Road.  Interment, Parma Corners Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hilton Fire Department in his memory.  For more information and to sign his online guestbook, visit www.meesonfamily.com
