Rochester: passed away on Nov. 8, 2024 at age 67 at The Highlands at Brighton, Rochester, NY.
Jim was born on Nov. 12, 1956 in Rochester, to Floyd and Edna (Musclow) Bisig. He graduated from Charlotte High School in 1974. He was a partner in the Bisig Disposal business started by his father, and was also active in the Bisig Oil business that followed for a number of years.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his son, Michael; by his sister, Lynda (Jerry) Willer, and brother Ronald (Kathie) Bisig, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephew.
Jim was an avid Buffalo Bills fan who held season tickets, and attended many games and events over many years. He had a great many good friends who could always recognize him by his smile and his blue Bills cap. Jim was one of the most laid-back, happy people you’d want to meet; always offering to help if needed, always caring.
He loved the water for boating, swimming, fishing, whatever. A favorite place was his cottage at Henderson Harbor where family could come together for the day and a campfire on the beach at night. He loved dogs, golf, bowling, Christmas, and life in general. He will be missed.
Friends may call Tuesday (Nov 19th) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road. Private interment, White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in his memory.
Jim, as cross country cousins we didn’t grow up together but became instant friends when we did meet and had a wonderful time and made life long memories. Rest in peace, Jim, you will be missed!
I don’t know you , but, I saw that Jim had Early Onset Altzheimers. I really feel for you. My husband also has Early Onset as well. He was diagnosed about 10 years ago. He is now almost 61. I’m glad your Jim is at peace now.
