Rochester: After a courageous battle with heart disease, Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at age 79. Predeceased by his parents, Harry & Marion Hart; wife, Jan Hart; brothers, George & Harry; brother and sister-in-law, Franklin & Roberta Harrison. Survived by his daughters, Kathleen A. Hart (Diane Benson), Mary Ellen (David) Hart-Predmore, Betsy (Jim) Northrup; grandchildren, Jim, Hal (Amy), Megan, Dawn, Ryan, Brittany, Curtis, Sara & Jake; great-granddaughter, Giavanna; companion, Rose DiBella; sister-in-law, Marta Hart; many nieces and nephews. Jim was a proud Officer of the Navy and a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company. He was an active member of Our Mother of Sorrows Church and enjoyed gardening and flower arranging. Jim loved volunteering his time with the Lifetime Bereavement Group and the Circle of Hope. The family would like to thank the staff of HCR and the Brightonian for the loving care given to Jim. Friends may call Friday (June 8th) 4-7 PM at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 10:30 AM at Our Mother of Sorrows Church. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lifetime Care Bereavement Services in his memory.

What a wonderful person with a great smile and a joy in service to others, gardening and family. Times seem so different now but Jim made it real and caring. We will miss him and our heart goes out to his family. Thank you Jim for sharing time with us!
