I am glad and blessed that I shared few moments with you. You silently modeled for me the art of having an open heart. Thank you Jim Stergios
I knew Jim from Genesee Hospital. He is part of what made Genesee great. I know God needs you. I will be always praying for your family.
I met Jim at The Isaiah House when my friend was there this past summer. I knew instantly that he was a very caring person just in the way he made us all feel welcome. He was a very kind and compassionate man. I am very sorry that he was taken so tragically. Gail Mosher
I worked some with Jim @ the Genesee Hospital. He was the most pleasant and nicest man- I was shocked @ his passing. my condolences to his family-especially to Mark and Jason-Jim always spoke so highly of his boys. Sincerely, Linda Kraft
I worked with Jim at TGH Pathology. Many of us were just starting our work lives and over the years married, had children and experienced the ups and downs of life while working in Pathology. I remember Jim’s boisterous laugh and his love of hockey. He even dressed as Santa at some of our ‘famous’ Christmas parties. We’ve had several TGH Pathology Reunions over the recent years and Jim and Pat attended. Same old Jim – joking around, full of life. He was so proud of his sons and his ‘daughters.’ The reunions were well attended and we all realized the special synergy that we experienced at TGH Pathology, a connection we still share. This special family mourns Jim’s passing. He will not be forgotten. Love and peace to his family.
I worked with Jim at The Institute of Optics, University of Rochester, where he served as Administrator from March 2001 through July 2006. We had the pleasure of Patricia’s presence when she joined him at various events. They were wonderful people, and we are deeply saddened at this tragic, sudden loss. Jim was a great friend, a genial ambassador at the University, and contributed to Optics in many ways. He made a big impact in his help through the design, development and building process of the Robert B. Goergen Building for Biomedical Engineering and Optics. His sense of humor and warm personality will always be remembered by those who had the pleasure of working with him. Words seem inadequate to express our condolences, but please know that you are in the hearts and prayers of many.
Jim and I graduated from AQ in 1968 and I can honestyly say that his humor and friendhsip was special to all of us who knew him. I bumped into him abd 2 years ago and a ersounded HEY DEEK pierced the air. God love you Jim and I know that you will smile forever and I pray the memories your family has will help them smile for you and give them peaace of heart. Take care my friend and my heartfelt condolences to your family. DEEK
Jim cared for my mom a few times during his volunteering with The Isaiah House. He was comforting to talk to and be around, and would put others needs first with a smile. My deepest sympathies to all of his family…he will be missed greatly to many.
Jim was a great classmate at Aquinas (68). He was always a happy fun loving spirited guy in class. We worked together through our senior year at Harvest Markets, times that wills always be remembered. He was always thinking of others. Without his presence we are surley going to have a void that will be difficult to fill. My thoughts and prayers are with Jim and his wife’s families during this time of sorrow. Remembering their active lives will keep our hearts and minds in a warm place for both of them.
Jim… may you rest in peace with Cindy and Patti. My sincere condolences to all family members, especially Mark and Jason. My heart goes out to you. Your Father and Mothers love you so much! Sincerely, Nancy
Last summer at the Isaiah House, I met Jim while he cared for my friend. I have never met a more gentle man, who was caring and compassionate. My heart goes out to all of you, and God Bless You. Gena Decker
My condolences to all of the family and friends. The loss of a loved one so tragically is very devastating. The Bible has many promises that can bring comfort suring this sad time: ’All those in the memorial tombs. . .will come out.’- John 5:28,29 ’As the last enemy, death is to brought to nothing.’- 1 Corinthians 15:26
My condolences to Jim and Pat’s family. Jim and I graduated from highschool together in 1968.

We are so sorry for your loss. It is with our deepest sympathy that we remember you all in our prayers. We will never forget Jim, and have many fond memories. (Unfortunately we had never met Pat, having moved from Rochester a number of years ago, but know she had to be a wonderful person, wife, mother, and step mother.)
You have touched a lot of lives along the way, and was pivliaged to have been able to be apart of Mark & Jason’s life as there babysitter for many years, They are apart of my family. We had good times and we had many trying times. You will be sadly missed my friend.
