Greece: Tuesday, October 01, 2013 at age 71. Predeceased by his parents, Roy & Antoinette; brother, Richard; Wives, Donna and Doreen. Survived by his children, Karin Montesano, Pamela (Guillermo) Montes, Christopher Mooney, Zachery (Amy Jo) Mooney & Patrick (Emilie) Mooney; 15 grandchildren; sister, Sharon (Henry) Peris; sister-in-law, Patricia Mooney; several nieces, nephews, dear friends. James was a proud Army Veteran. No prior calling. His Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday (Oct 3rd) 10:00 AM at St. Leo the Great Church, Hilton. I was a nurse at Monroe Community Hospital years ago and met Mr. Mooney when he moved to the unit I worked on. Many of the other staff had a difficult time dealing with Mr. Mooney, but I still treated him with respect and kindness and he did the same for me. My children often visited the unit and got to know him a bit. When they discovered how much he loved Mt. Dew, they affectionately nick named him Mr. Mountain Dew. I hope he is at peace now.
