Jacqueline J. Hogestyn Rochester: Jacqueline was born in Perry, NY in 1931. Passed, Wednesday, November 1, 2023. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Dean. She is survived by sons, Gary (Denise), David (Jeanne); grandchildren, Matthew (Alexa), Jessica (Taylor Guerin) and Daniel (Christine); step-granddaughters, Kristen Furey-Johnson (Matthew) and Paige Furey; several nieces and nephews; and the lights of her life, great grandchildren, Edward and Elizabeth Hogestyn. Friends may call Saturday (Nov. 11th) 3-6pm at Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Memorial Service will be held Sunday (Nov. 12th) 1:00 pm at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4115 Dewey Ave. Private Interment, Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.
Gary & David, I did not know your mom but I know that she was a wonderful mother to you boys. Both of you guys are good souls and I am sure your mom and dad did a great job of raising you. Both of you were excellent teachers and excellent role models for those middle school kids that you taught. Coaching? Both have given so much to Greece Central School District athletes for many many years. I hope all the wonderful memories of your mom will help you through this period of morning.
