Ed and family. I was so sorry to see the notice about Irene in today’s paper. Even though I haven’t seen her in a few years, I remember her fondly. She was a kick! Loved life and lived it to the fullest. She will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Ed and Lori, I had hoped to meet you at the funeral but my husband is ill and I do not feel I can leave hin. Irene and I were friends in grammar school and high school and bridesmaids in each others weddings. I will truly miss her. The year we graduated in ’41 the Bickslers, and your parents, Ed, and Irene and I spent a week at Saratoga going to the races and having a great time. Memories are so important and I will cherish them. Irene often spoke of how wonderful you both were in looking after her. I know you will miss her . In loving memory, Doris Peet VanVechten Doridon@aol.com

Irene was a member of the Irondequiot Garden Study Club. When the club was dissolved the membrs continued to meet under the name of ‘Pearl’s friends’. Pearl was president of the study club for over fifty years and passed away a few years ago. The members decided to meet as friends. We at ‘Pearl’s Friends’ extend our deepest sympathy to Irene’s family. Irene was a ggod friend and enjoyed the garden club and Pearl’s Ffriens. Sincerely, members of ‘Pearl’s Friends’
