Greece: Saturday, August 7, 2010. Predeceased by her brothers, Kaleel, Fred and Henry Hadeed; sister, violet Psak. Survived by her brother, Victor Hadeed of Florida; sister, Margaret Cooley; 15 loving nieces and nephews; dear friends. Helen was a retiree of Eastman Kodak after over 40 years. In her early years, Helen’s joy was her extended family, traveling and playing golf. After she retired, caring for her parents, her church which she loved and numerous charities were the focus of her life. No Prior Calling. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 9:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church. Private Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Lifetime Care Hospice in her memory.
While my dad was a resident at Hamilton Manor in 2008 we got to know Helen. She was always sitting at the door. In our conversations it was always readily apparent how much her family meant to her: she spoke very fondly of her mother, and of helping out with her siblings. Even in her compromised condition, the love in her heart was able to shine. In our Lord’s eternal presence may she again enjoy the company of the loved ones who were always in her heart.
