Smith, Harold William ’Smitty’ Greece, NY: November 1, 2015, Age 70, Predeceased by daughter, Kimberly Ann Smith, parents, Shirley and Jessie Smith. Survived by his beloved wife Ann Brenton Smith; children, Terri (Dan) Schroeder, Robert Smith, Jeffrey T Smith; grandchildren, Ethan Schroeder, Collin Schroeder, Jeffrey Smith Jr., Zachary Smith, Kiah Smith; siblings; Beverly (George) Westacott & Donna Miceli; Nieces and Nephews; Jennifer Westacott, Dr. Mark (Zeynep) Miceli, Derin Miceli, Dawn (Mariah) Miceli, Stacey Miceli, & Dr. Melinda Miceli; ‘daughters of the heart,’ Beth Chirdo and Rebekah Jones. Smitty had such a big heart and always considered so many of his friends and neighbors ‘family,’ all of whom had a special place in his life over the years, including Wayne and Sharon Wood; Janet Call; Bill ‘Coop’ Cooper; Carl Clawson and the rest of the South Drive Family; the entire gang from Bernard’s Grove and the Golf League. We cannot begin to name them all, but all of those we’ve lost-and all who carry on-will always be a cherished part of his family’s lives. Friends may call Friday (Nov 6th) 4-7 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. Interment held privately in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial Celebration of Remembrance is being arranged. I am sorry for your loss. My sympathies to the family.
I’m so glad that I had the privilege of getting to know Smitty this past year. He stole my heart with his kindness and generosity. My deepest sympathy to his entire family especially Ann who cared for him tirelessly. God bless you all.
